 LIGHTING and RENDERING IN MENTAL RAY: An application of lighting and lighting theory
in Maya.

In this one day course, you will learn how to light and render in Mental Ray - both with control and efficiency. This class will step through the basics of lights, materials and lighting theory, then delve into a lighting exercise.
All attendees will be given a modeled scene which will be lit and shaded until a final render is complete.
Some familiarity with Maya is required.
You will:
* become familiar with light and material properties
* become familiar with Mental Ray's attributes and how they effect render times
* bring a modeled 3d scene to a lit and shaded render
